Peek at Last Week: Jan. 5-9.

Well, here in Indiana last week it was a bit cold.  Like -34 degree wind chill cold!

This was a picture I took out of my front door.
So, we only had 3 days of school this week!

If you haven't read this book yet, you need to!  It is hysterical!  My darling Hubba got it for me for Christmas and I couldn't wait to come back to school to read it to my darlings! They LOVED it! I highly recommend it!  (you can get yours from Amazon by clicking on the picture).

Our poem of the week this week is "The Island of Lost Socks" by Arden Davidson.  So, after reading the poem we decided to make a map of the Island of Lost Socks.  The kiddos loved it and were very creative!

Because of the cold weather, the days that we did have school we had indoor recess!  Thank heavens for Go Noodle!  If you haven't heard of it, it is a free page with great brain breaks!  You need to go visit and sign up now! I'll wait...did I mention it's free?

So, I wish I could say that I was super productive on the 2 "Holy #$*#& it' cold outside, stay in your home for goodness sakes" days, but...
I did have an adorable little helper though...he tried!

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my weekly ramblings!  If you are interested, I am participating in a fun little giveaway over at Mrs. Groom's Room!

Enjoy your weekend!

Stop back by on Wednesday and link up for the first ever:
The first "Real Teacher" topic will be "Junk Drawer" or another messy spot in your classroom that needs a little work.  Hope to see you on Wednesday!

  1. That link up looks like SO MUCH FUN. The title was positively inspired. I'll be back to link up for sure!
