Monday Meet up!

Okay! I am linking up with the Teaching Tribune for their "Monday Meet-Up" Here is some randomness about me:

I honestly cannot remember a time that I LOVE reading.  I remember being soooooooo excited to go to first grade because I was going to learn how to read.  I was so excited.  I picked it up really quickly and have been a bookworm ever since!
If I would have been blessed with a daughter her name would have been Nora!  It is my favorite girl name.  Truth be told though, I have always really liked my name, so I would be loathe to change it.
I am a humongous fan of the Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon.  Jamie is just dreamy.  I am also a ginormous Harry Potter fan.  Dumbledore is my favorite character.
I have 2 brothers.  They are something else!
Breakfast is my favorite.  I would eat breakfast all the time.  I love to have everything in one dish.  Skillets are perfect!  Eggs, veggies, meat, potatoes, with some pancakes on the side!  Perfect!  YUM!

  1. 6 students at a time????? WOW!!!!! Your blog is sooooo cute!!!!!

  2. Oh my gosh! Your answer to #3 has got to take the cake! I really thought mine might be hard to beat, but 6 kids at once...yuck! That list is both awful and hilarious at the same time! You're one tough teacher ;) Love the blog!!

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by Meghan! Yeah, it was rough!

  3. Hi Hilary! My daughter is also a Hillary (with 2 L's). :) Your skillet breakfasts sound great! We do a mountain man breakfast that is cooked in a Dutch oven so it's kinda the same end result. Hey, your blog is awesome and I'm compiling great blogs on my blog and wonder if you would be my first second grade blog? I'm new to blogging but not to teaching or 4th grade. ;)

  4. Six sympathy pukers?! That sounds like my nightmare! Oh gosh!! I'd pick Dumbledore too...I mean, I'd meet ANYONE from HP but if I could pick, definitely Dumbledore. :o) Loved your tattoo today on Instagram!!

  5. I am also a HUGE Harry Potter fan. If I could meet anyone it would be Hermione, but Dumbledore is a close second. I cannot imagine having that many students vomiting at the same time. I have * knock on wood * not had the lovely experience of having a student vomit in my room. When I was in first grade my very pregnant mom volunteered in our classroom. She was working in the hallway with a kiddo when he threw up in her hands! Needless to say, she stopped volunteering!

  6. 6 kids vomit at once! That is "out of this world!!"

  7. LOVE Harry Potter, too! What an awful classroom experience! Hope you had many better days after that!!

I love comments! Thanks!
