But....
There is something wonderful about sitting down with a book (or laying down, I am a librocubicularist: one who loves to read in bed). I love the smell of books. I love the feel of books. And, there is something oddly satisfying about turning the pages! I love books.
This is just one of the many bookcases in my home. I have a bookcase instead of a T.V. in my bedroom. As you can I see, I need another bookcase!
So, what do you think? Digital or print?
I have had this conversation so many times! I have always been a book girl! I like to hold an actual book! Plus, I like the way they smell! BUT, I did get a Kindle Fire for my birthday last year and I LOVE it! I love being able to download a book instantly. I have to drive 20 miles if I want to buy a new book. I really enjoy both.

I do love my iPad to read books, but there is nothing like a new book. Also, you don't have to make sure your tablet is charged to read a paperback :)

I love my Kindle, and it's been great when on the go, but you're right...there's just something about a real book. Smell, feel...guess it's the result of being a book lover :)

I have to say I am still in the age of print when it comes to books, haven't made the switch to digital, yet....

Forever in First
I tried a Kindle but I just don't like it. I'm a book person and also a librocubicularist :) Great word - I must give it to my class and see what they can find out. Think that'll be my next class blog post :) I have to weed out my books every year - we built ceiling to floor book shelves in one room so that they would be somewhat contained but I still have books in piles on the table, by my bed, in the kitchen... I really love old children's school stories and some of the old mysteries from the 1930s that are mostly out of print now so my collection is pretty old. There's something very satisfying about curling up with one of those - wish I could today. It's a rainy blustery day and my kiddies are going to be hyper :)

Fun in the Fours
For pleasure, I choose digital because it is convenient and I can check out blogs from time to time when my eyes get tired. :) For professional development or any type of research, I need print so I can highlight and take notes. :) Great post!

Thanks all for your responses! I love to read, so I guess it really doesn't matter too much! I do like to write in my books (gasp!) fiction and professional, of course, it makes me loathe to lend them out then!
