Up and Down day!

Today was one of those days that is thrilling and great one minute, the next minute someone hit someone or called them a name.

We are waste deep into our poetry unit.  We write and publish 12 poems in a span of about 4 weeks!  It is grueling, but very rewarding.  The kiddos poems are adorable, and as soon as I remember to take some pictures, I will post them!

The kiddos are also square dancing in P.E.  today was their final day, so they were allowed to wear their Western Wear!  It was adorable!  Some of the boys were reluctant of course, but it was really cute, they did a really nice job all in all.

Tomorrow I will be out of my classroom, but in the building all day to do MCLASS testing which is a blend of DIBELS and TRC with is (Text Reading and Comprehension).  It's just a fancy way of saying a running record.  I love testing days because I get to go out to lunch with my teaching partners, but I hate sitting around all day knowing that I am missing a day of instruction.
I love it because I get some one on one time with the kiddos and they tell me the most hilarious stories.  But I hate it because I have to make the dreaded SUB PLANS!

Anyway, that was my up and down day. How was your day?  You doin' anything fun?
