So much great reading stuff in one place!  I love sending home the reading challenge at the beginning of the month to challenge kiddos to get out of their reading comfort zones!  It gives suggestions for book or types of books to try.  They are also like a scavenger hunt.  It might get your students to go to the library to look for the books on the list.  I always tell the kiddos that if they think that the book they choose fits the challenge it probably does.

The in-class reading logs are a fantastic way to hold your kiddos accountable for their independent reading!  Covers all kinds of reading skills and strategies!
