Which makes me think of Writer's Workshop, because it is my kiddos favorite time of day. I guess I am doing something right! One problem that I have is that the kiddos are constantly asking me how to spell things. I always do the "stretch it and underline it" lesson, but I still have a few who can't go on without having a word spelled correctly. I have them ask three friends and then ask me. Most of the time, a friend has the correct spelling and they just come to me for confirmation, but sometimes I will spell something for them. Which brings me to word collectors. I have used all kinds of things to help the kiddos collect words. We have a word wall in our classroom, we have a small Word Collector book in our book boxes that they can use, but sometimes it is easier to have one in our Writing Folders too! So, this is one that I created. It has a wide margin so it can be 3 hole punched or comb bound, or just placed in a folder pocket. It does have small lines, so if I spell a word for one of my kiddos I often write it for them, but if they write small, it should work for them as well. The link will take you to my TpT store where I am offering it for free.
