Fun Reading Responses

Hello all!  Today I am going to tell you about a fabulous product that I got to try out from my friend Stephanie Chambers of The Learning Chambers!  We swapped products.  I got to try her Reading Response Flap Books!

This is a very versatile little product!  She has many different choices for different flap books that your kiddos could make!  We were reviewing Story Elements, so we used the Story Elements Flap Book!

These were easy for the kiddos to make on their own. I am a little possessive of my stapler, so I had to staple them for the kiddos, but they could even do that part on their own!

After we had assembled our flap books, we went through the different pages to refresh our memories about story elements.

We made sure that we knew what each page was, then I read the book Verdi by Janell Cannon and the kiddos used their flap books to take notes.

We turned and talked to our partners about each page as we were reading.  The kiddos did an amazing job!  They really liked the format of these flap books and enjoyed working on them!
Now that the kiddo have the hang of how these adorable flap books work, we will be using them again during our Reading Response time!  Thanks Stephanie so much for the great product!  If you are interested in trying these for yourself you can find them here:
