Do you “Daily”?

Hello all!  Today I want to talk about something new that I have been doing in my classroom this year and I LOVE!  I call it our “Dailies”.  I have mine on the whiteboard in front of the room.  This makes it easy to change what we are doing daily.
I will be the first to confess that I dislike calendar time (that is being polite), so I wanted to do something daily that included the date, but was not quite calendar.

This is what the Dailies Board looks like in my classroom.

This is an example page that the kiddos fill out with the number and word of the day!

In order to make my board, I printed the pages onto cardstock, trimmed them into strips, laminated them and put magnets on the back.  These could also be used in pocket charts (although I have not tried that).

The bottom “Daily” changes.  As of right now we are doing those “dailies” orally, but I am working on making pages that will fit with all of the dailies.
I love using my students names in my daily problems!  They love seeing their names on the board.
My students all have a number as well, so sometimes I use their classroom numbers in the “Number of the Day” equations!

Recently we have been doing some revising and editing of the sentences that I do for the word of the day!  This is a lot of fun.  It is amazing the number of things that the kiddos have Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber doing!  Here is an example of before and after.  This is not necessarily one of our better ones, it is the one that I thought to take a picture of!

If you are interested in trying my “Dailies” board, it is now for sale in my TpT store.  You can click on the picture or HERE to get yours!
